MH mental description

I waited Raisa to been born for years, but she was worth it! She is everything I hoped for: active, willing to please, easy to train, loves to retrieve and can concentrate on working. Even according to objective puppy tests and mental descriptions she is hardly ever afraid of anything, very social, playful and doesn't mind hard voices. It is a joy to own her :)

Spring '07 we started obedience training and from the begining she was easy to motivate with toys, treats and playing. In our first official obedience test she got 1. prize at the age of 10 months! In Finland dogs under 10 months can not even participate tests... Summer 2008 she got 1. prize with HP in open class with 183 points (out of 200) and 3. prize in winners class.

She passed working (ability) test for spaniels at the age of 10 months and got a lovely critique. She retrieves well, loves to swin and is eager to seek. I would just need more time to concentrate on her field training properly.

Raiku's first puppy show was our National Specialty where she was BIS2- and BOB-puppy amongst 13 welsh puppies. In her first official show she got her first CC. She was BOB and BIS-2 (and got CC) in our National Specialty 2008 under Kath Morgan.

We train agility and she is very promising in that too. She started her agility carrier young and had already at 19 months of age two clear rounds in official competitions. During the summer 2008 she got three more class wins with clear rounds and is now competing in maxi-2 class. We have also trained blood tracking, but that is not Riesa's stongest side ;)

Jangas D-litter was named after movies, because their mother got her name from TV-serie "Men Behaving Badly" Raisa was named after Marx Brother's old comedy "Duck Soup", which means "easy to accomplish" and "sure thing". When they sang "Freedonia, Freedonia, the land of brave and free" in the movie, I just laughed. Raisa is a little brave and free soul. And I have to say that I would also hope to eat duck soup thanks to her someday ;)
