Kati chose me by first sight, when I visited her breeder and was going to choose one of 5 month old Welsh Springer Spaniel girls. She is a very affectionate little girl, always near me. She is willing to please, and we easily gained first prizes in obedience at the age of one year. She is the first dog, with whom I have ever entered any tests or trials, and she has in a way entered me in to the world of hunting and tracking as well as obedience and agility competitions. I had trained with our previous dogs, but she seemed to be the first one, who was outgoing and active enough to the tests. As far as I know, she is the only welsh springer spaniel in Finland, who has results in shows, field trials, tracking, obedience and agility.
Kati has also achieved a first prize in tracking in open class. She won the trophy for the best open class Springer Spaniel in Finnish Springer Spaniel Clubs Annual test 1999, that was also our first tracking test. After we started hunting with her, she has lost interest in blood track.

She has entered dog shows rarely, but she has got 3x Excellent and Best Bitch 2nd and 2x 3rd placings.

We have also entered in Field Trials, and Kati got a third prize (73 points), although that was the first test for both of us and I distracted her very much unintentionally. In 2003 we got twice 3rd price with 81 and 82 points There are four Field Trial Champions in Finland: Kati's halfbrother Fin Sh& Ft Ch That Way Wink Akimbo, Kati's sire Fin FT & Sh Ch Aki, his sister Fin FT Ch Amor and Kati's grandfather Fin FT Ch That Way Win Y Bangaw. Also Kati's other halfsiblings have done well in hunting and in Field Trials: Fin Ch Sweetie-pie Famoso (winners class 2nd prize), Fin Ch Sweetie-pie Gideon (open class 2nd prize), Iines (open class 2nd prize) and Iita (open class 2nd prize).

One of our hobbies is agility, which she likes and is good at, although the jumps are quite high to her. She is competing in Maxi-3 class, that is the highest class. She has got the following trophies:
* Springer Spaniel Club's trophy 2005
* Spaniel Club's trophy 2005
* Tavastland's Spaniel Club's trophy 2004 and 2005
* Western Finland's Spaniel Club's trophy "Pennyn malja" 2004
* 3. in Finnish Agility Championships for 10-13 years old youngsters with Janni Kröger 2005.

She is the proud mother of 8 puppies. First litter (1 boy and 3 girls) was born on 14th of June 2003, and second one (4 boys) was born on 3rd of January 2004. You can visit puppies at their own pages. Kati's offsprings have been a joy to follow: they are healthy happy-go-lucky welshies, with lot of their mum's temperament. Five of her offsprings have been x-rayed: 3xA, AB and D as result. Two boys are unfortunately chryptochids. Four "puppies" go hunting with their owners every autumn, Five have got at least "Excellent" in dog shows (+ 2 CC's and 2 resCC's), two of them have approved working test, three have competed in agility, two in obedience and two have been in mental description. And I hope that best results are yet to come, because those boys and girls are only 2 years old!

Kati is a joy to own, she has never had any problems with other dogs, although all the males are charmed by her. She has been very healthy so far, and always active. She is a funny little creature, who has never destroyed anything at home. When she hasn't have enough exercise she just starts bringing her tennis balls to me or simply jumps to my lap, when I am reading. The most annoying thing in her is propably her eternal love for food, all sorts and everywhere. When travelling with her, she always has her way to charm food from strangers, and I have to explain that she really gets enough food at home.
